All businesses should be concerned about the safety of its customers and employees.
On July 21 in Albuquerque a clerk was killed during a robbery at a jewelry exchange business. The robbery took less than just a few minutes, and in it a man lost his life.
Fortunately this store had a camera that captured a photo of the suspect. However it’s not clear if the it had additional security that should be used in a store known to have cash on hand, like a jewelry exchange store.
At minimum stores like these should have, cameras, security systems, silent alarms, more than one person working at a time, cash drop boxes, and good lighting.
When a person is injured or killed because a business does not have adequate security, a personal injury lawyer may be able to help get compensation for the victim, and may be able to increase security to prevent others from becoming victims.
If you recognize the person in the photo below, the suspect in the Albuquerque robbery/murder, please call Crime Stoppers at (505) 843-STOP.
