Albuquerque Police Chief Ray Schultz stepped down Friday after eight years on the job.
His department has been plagued by allegations of excessive force, including several cases caught on video. And several officers have been reprimanded for questionable social media postings, including one by an officer involved in a fatal shooting who described his occupation as “human waste disposal.”
Civil Rights Lawyer and Personal Injury Lawyers have kept the spotlight on this department, bringing and winning many lawsuits against the police department.
With this resignation, a new chapter starts. Hopefully, police shootings and misconduct will finally come to an end in Albuquerque.
