The Albuquerque Journal reports that alcohol may be a factor in a vehicle crash that killed one person on Friday.
About 11 p.m. a male driver southbound on 98th Street Albuquerque went over the left-center median. The vehicle continued into the northbound lanes of traffic, where it was struck by another vehicle going northbound on 98th Street.
The driver of the first vehicle was ejected and died from his injuries at University of New Mexico Hospital.
The driver and the passenger in the other vehicle were taken to the same hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
There were alcohol containers inside the first vehicle and alcohol may be a factor.
This tragic accident reminds us all of the dangers on the road. Dangerous driving, failure to wear seat belts , and use of alcohol contributes to many fatal accidents.
