The Albuquerque Journal reports that village of Ruidoso and former Fire Chief Tom Gavin have reached a six-figure settlement over his firing in 2011.
His attorney asserted that the termination was driven by whistle-blowing, contrary to established law. Mr. Gavin served as fire chief in Ruidoso from February 2009 to Jan. 5, 2011.
