Normally, yes. In New Mexico, officers are not required to turn their camera on, so an officer has to actually push a button to turn the camera on, and it is their discretion when to turn the camera on or not.
You can’t rely on an officer turning their camera on when you want the officer to, and even if they do turn the camera on. There many cases where the video is later lost, or not downloaded correctly, or something happens. But, normally a video recording would be admissible against somebody in court.
